Change uses each series’ previous observation—not a common time window. Rising does not always mean improving.

A country is more
than its averages.

01 / Provenance

Follow every number home.

Economic series come from U.S. agencies through FRED. Health, safety, opportunity, and environmental series use the World Bank’s compilation of national and international sources. Every card links its exact series.

02 / Time & revisions

A snapshot, not a live feed.

Retrieved Oct 4, 2026. Reporting periods vary. This release contains source values available when retrieved; later revisions are not yet reflected. Monthly series older than 120 days, quarterly older than 240 days, and annual older than 3 years are flagged from the start of their reporting period.

03 / Comparisons

Keep the units intact.

Charts use each series’ own units and a fitted vertical axis, not a shared scale or score. “End of 2019” uses the last available observation in that calendar year. Percent series change in percentage points. Annualized GDP growth differs from year-over-year inflation. Missing periods are not interpolated.

04 / What is still missing

The chart stays open.

National averages can hide disparities. State and demographic breakdowns, food security, housing insecurity, mental-health access, institutional trust, and government-service outcomes are not yet covered here. We will not fill those gaps with proxies presented as facts.
