Veterans Eve
Salute
to Service.
Honor the service.
Carry it forward.
A gathering of purpose, respect, and a shared commitment to the service that continues through us.
2:00–6:00 PM EST McLean, Virginia
The calling
Service is an example.
And an invitation.
On the eve of Veterans Day, we honor those who have served—and ask what we are willing to serve next.
Veterans and those who continue to serve remind us that responsibility is not an abstract idea. It is something people choose to carry.
This gathering is for people who feel a higher calling: a mission they are genuinely working to bring into the world, in respect for that spirit of service.
We come to listen, to recognize the work of others, and to make a commitment of our own. Not just gratitude for the past. Responsibility for the future.
The spirit of the afternoon
Honor. Connect. Commit.
Three intentions for the room. One responsibility to carry beyond it.
- 01 / HONOR
Remember the example.
Make room for the people whose courage, care, and sacrifice have shaped us. Listen with respect. Share only what you choose.
- 02 / CONNECT
Meet the missions.
Bring the work you care about. Hear what others are building, who it serves, and where a thoughtful introduction or useful skill could help.
- 03 / COMMIT
Choose your next act.
Leave with one concrete commitment: a person to help, a responsibility to take on, or a mission you are ready to move forward.
These are the intentions for the gathering, not a timed program or a confirmed speaker lineup.
Who belongs here
A higher calling.
A common ground.
Military service is not a requirement.
Respect for those who have served is.
Veterans. Service members. Families. Creators, builders, caregivers, organizers, and people doing quiet, necessary work.
You do not need a finished project or a perfect answer. Bring a mission you care about, a useful skill, or the willingness to listen.
If someone you loved had a mission they did not get to finish, you are welcome to consider carrying that flag forward. At your own pace. Without sharing a private story.
