Show the source. Show the uncertainty.
A claim should come with a way to check it.
Build a fact-checking tool that makes its evidence and corrections visible.
WHY THIS IS WORTH DOING
Trust grows when people can inspect how an answer was reached.
THE VISION
Launch a source-backed fact checker
Imagine reading a public claim and seeing the original record, the relevant passage, the uncertainty, and the correction history beside it. The goal is not a machine declaring itself the final authority.
Start small: one claim, one set of primary sources, and a transparent account of the limits. A usable reviewed tool can grow from examples people are able to contest.
MAKE THE NEXT CHAPTER REAL
Start with one useful thing.
Bring a public claim, a primary source, or a way to make a correction easier to understand.
- 01
Try a first step.
Take one public claim and compare it with the primary record.
- 02
Build toward something concrete.
Build and evaluate a prototype against a published set of sourced claims.
- 03
Show what changed.
Share the work and its sources. Show the gaps as well as the progress. Give the next person a way to help.
What would count as progress?
A working tool, citations, evaluation results, and visible corrections. It must not claim to read intent or establish guilt.
A usable public claim-checking tool.
Goals are not reported results. A linked channel is not proof of an achieved outcome. This quest is an invitation to build, not a claim that a complete team or solution already exists.
YOUR PART DOES NOT HAVE TO BE EVERYTHING
Help this quest find
its next person.
Follow the story. Bring a skill. Raise your own flag for this mission. Every honest contribution gives the next chapter somewhere to begin.
AMERICA’S—AND HUMANITY’S—EVOLUTION
